When choosing the leather to use for our Utility Tote, we knew our customers are unique and their bags should reflect that. We use a variety of leather from different tanneries in order to offer the option of structured bags and unstructured bags. Once we decided to offer a range of leathers, another difficult choice had to be made - which colors to use. Not everyone loves the pull-up look, while others literally drool over it. You can find both options within our Utility Tote; totes with pull-up and totes with a matte finish. Leather with pull-up has dimension, character, and will soften and evolve overtime. Our matte finished leather is one even shade, scratch resistant, and the color will remain consistent over time. Lastly, we had to offer the Utility Tote in Natural Vachetta. Vachetta is undyed, and unlike any other leather. It is unique in that it is somewhere in between structured and unconstructed, and will naturally patina over time. This leather anomaly is precisely why we love it so much. With its pristine cream color at the onset, it will evolve in appearance over time, eventually becoming a milky brown. This bag will become a true reflection of your relationship together. For the overall size, shape, handle, and pocket for our Utility Tote, we wanted to keep it minimalist and traditional. Our tote is unlined, with a super soft suede interior. It is sized for daily use, with space for the most common 13” laptop, and plenty of room to spare. Staying true to the traditional tote bag design, our Utility Tote offers two over the shoulder handles with a 10” drop length (comfortable and easy to carry, while leaving room for puffy winter coats), and one inner pocket for phone and key storage.
Our handles are always hand stitched, and made of heavy weight leather. This combination allows the Utility Tote the capacity and strength to carry anything you want and need, without diminishing overtime.
